Jay estimates (though not on the recording) that over 200,000 jobs have already been lost in India thanks to the very recent announcements by parliament. Absolute madness. Our conversation explores the rapid legislative changes in India regarding online gaming, highlighting the speed and secrecy of the government's actions, and we discuss the implications for the gaming industry, including the prohibition of online money games, the potential rise of offshore and crypto gambling, and the challenges of enforcing new laws. The taxation on gaming activities is also addressed, raising concerns about the viability of the market.
