family problems and what to do about them………I moved in with my daughter to help with her 2 children?
for financial reasons.I moved here from a different state to help them. she meet some friends[oh,by the way she is also married]and she decided to go out more and more .her husband didnt appove so their marriage slowly but surley started to sour.I was going to move out but neither of them wanted that to happen because they couldnt afford daycare,she cant cook and so i cooked and took on task as teacher to the 4th grader.I always got him from school and do the homework with him.Ok let me get with the story .Because of her going out,he started online gambling and so its only got worse.As some here but not argee with me but I feel like I am the only stable one in this house,it seemed like I was always taking care of them even they were home because they would leave them to themselves and it broke my heart.I moved out and things are now worse.divorce is in the works.Shoud I leave and go home or wait and help her.I need a life.I come here daily to babysit daily .

Honestly, you being there or not being there had nothing to do with the divorce. If it was going to happen then it was going to happen. What you did do was help them to ditch their responsibilities. I know you had the best intentions in mind but I think you enabled their immaturity by taking over their duties to kids and home.
Moving out was the best thing you could’ve done – please don’t remake your mistake. Its good that your in the state and are a stable entitiy but your daughter’s an adult and needs to start acting like it. Cut back on your babysitting favours by offering 1 day during the week and 1 night on the weekend – this still sees you as being a support while also having your own life and forces daughter to take care of her own business.

Stop Compulsive Gambling Now: It Can Really Hurt You
This author just read a study today about how one out of 10 compulsive gamblers attempt suicide, many completing the act.
This is not the first study that was read about compulsive gambling and suicide. There are many studies, and many stories and it is truly quite sad. Each story is more tragic than the next, and the stories do not seem to stop.
Gambling addiction has the highest suicide rate of all addictions and has won by a landslide.
Because many people with a gambling addiction do not stop compulsive gambling by not getting help, the addiction becomes out of control.
It is my belief that even when we consider the social, emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual consequences of compulsive gambling, that the financial consequences are most responsible for the suicide.
When an addicted gambler does not stop their compulsive gambling behavior, the financial losses can pile up very fast. It is very easy for a compulsive gambler to build up thousands of dollars in debt in a very short period of time.
Gambling debt can become huge, and for many it may seem like an obstacle that can never be successfully fought.
It is unfortunately very easy this day in age to use credit cards for cash advances to feed a compulsive gambling addiction. Gambling debts can pile up fast and furious and become a burden that the gambler has to face as a consequence of the addiction.
When a gambling addict feels like there is no way out, and does not believe they can ever get help for a gambling problem, suicide can seem like the only solution.
Another way the gambling demon can get you when you do not stop compulsive gambling is heart attack. Many compulsive gamblers are under so much financial stress that they eventually die of a heart attack.
Not sleeping right, not eating properly, depression from gambling, as well as financial stress is a lethal combination for a compulsive gambler.
Health deterioration for a compulsive gambler is a very big problem and it can reduce the life span of the gambler dramatically if they do not quit gambling.
It is a slow, sometimes fast deterioration that can result in death for the compulsive gambler who does not get help.
To stop compulsive gambling, the compulsive gambler has to have a desire to stop gambling. Even when the gambler has a desire to quit gambling and get better, gambling addiction is a very challenging addiction to overcome.
There is help, however, to stop gambling and there are many resources for the addicted gambler to stop compulsive gambling.
Life is better when you stop gambling.

i am in between jobs and i live with my parents. my grandmother, who is 83 lives next door. grandmothers health has been failing recently, and my parents have been talking about taking her to the nursing home. anyway, before i quit my job, i got into playing cards to make some extra cash. i was doing quite well, but the stress i have been under lately has caused my luck to change and i began to lose money while gambling. i know i am capable of winning the bucks, so a couple of weeks ago i got the bright idea to take a couple of tv’s that grandma had to the pawn shop and use this money to play cards with. well, long story short, i lost the money. but, before i knew it, i had sold off much of what she owns. mom and dad are freaking out about it and grandma doesnt know what happened because of her alzheimer’s. if i tell them, they will freak out and possibly kick me out, and i cant afford that at this time. how do i handle this touchy situation?
speaking from experience not of me but the knowledge of knowing gambling is no way to get money. sure you may win at some point but, then as you have experienced there are more than anything time when you loose!! and with what you have said you have lost both ways. you had absolutely no right to anything of your grandmothers things, that may have been someones belongings for a will or something. and guess what if your grandmother ever has any lucid days where she will look for her things then what do you say? “you must have been robbed.” that has never been a good thing to pawn anything is the biggest mistake because as you see you have lost and cannot replace anything, because you are not working right now. how can you replace the things you pawned ? you ask well, get yourself any kind of job right now to do so, take a low paying job if you have to and you do it will be hard if your used to the big bucks but, it will also keep your name in the books for the latter years for social security. if you start to get the urge to gamble you my friend have a problem it is a disease yes and very hard to control big time buddy.I know because even though we don’t go through that type of situation we live a one day at a time life style. it is very addictive and you will need help there is an 800 number in your area I am sure call it. find the nearest meeting and go to it. what you did was wrong and you have no excuse. if your parents do find out guess what they may because they might go to check up on her things sometime and like pay her bills or even search for something and find her stuff gone, they may say she was robbed, and in a way she will have been and there are some reprocussions for you actions. but, you should have thought of that before you did what you did. thats part of it though, you never think ahead. unfortunately for your poor grandmother she doesn’t even realize whats going on. but, your mom and dad will. you must get a job and try to get those things back if you can, hopefully the things won’t be sold fast, and you can get them back before thing go bye bye forever. take any job no matter how much you don’t want to do the work and know that you are doing something to help yourself in anyway you can until the right job shows up for you remember you have sold away what may have been someones remembrance of your grandmother. those things were probably worth more to someone that loved her and may have been an antique or something and worth more than what a pawn shop would give you and you may pay dearly to get them back even if you can. because pawn shops will charge way more to their customers than they actually paid for the stuff. just make sure the job you get is a legal job on the books.
