Why people still think its impossible to win long term in the game? And that the bookie always wins?
With casino gambling is very different, everything is strictly controlled and in favor of casinos. You can not win long term at a casino, because of the types of games you are playing. They have an edge in the casino, which can not be manipulated in their favor. For example, a roulette table will pay 35 / 1 for each number, but by two zeros (or in European roulette) actually there are 38 possible outcomes, hence why you can not make money. But with sports betting and horse racing to remember the bookmaker's taking a gamble itself offering odds against an event that has no control. Try to guess the odds of the right and then the odds supply (and a built in margin which supposedly will profit) accordingly. Bookmakers, but certainly not always make money and where a bookie should offer odds on any race or event, the astute bettor can pick and choose their investments wisely and when you think that the calculations of runners betting are deficient in their favor.
I do not know if it was a statement or question, but I will answer you are right, all casino games has a house advantage. The only game that does not have an edge is poker, all other games that the odds are against you. But the sports betting line is not in his favor and is set by the casino for them. Now that's not saying you can not pick a winner, but you have to know what you're doing to make money on it. I work as a poker dealer at a casino in Las Vegas for over 5 years and only know 2 people that make life outside of sports betting, must be very skillful to win in sports betting, I would not bet a lot of games because I have no advantage over the games. If you can pick the winners then good for you and good luck.
