I used to read Creem Magazine back in the 70′s and based on their reviews starting listening and buying a lot of British and US new wave and punk – Sex Pistols, The Clash, Lene Lovich, Patti Smith, etc. and was never once disappointed.

im just so PO’d right now. my mom who made me do so many different chores to earn this game, GTA 4, was 2 seconds away from ordering it. she just read 2 reviews how it shouldn’t be for anyone under 17 and now she wont get it for me. It feels like i just lost all my money from gambling or something like that. like i did so much to earn this game and now its gone. i mean im 14 which really isnt that far off from 17 i get grades and im never in trouble. is GTA 4 really as horrible as everyone makes it and do you think i should be able to play it?
Hmm… at fourteen I guess I could have played it. It does have violence, no doubt about that. Very adult plot and realistic cutscenes. If you think you’re ready for it just explain the details of it to your mother. It definitely wont turn you into an angry or crazed person from just playing it. That’s something that the media tries to blame on video games. Also dont buy the game just because all your friends have it or because it’ll make you cool. Buy it because it’s fun. The online is very very fun and worth playing. Explain the details to your mother and show her that you’re mature enough to play it. hope this helps.
